My Journey

Every journey begins with a choice. Mine began with discovering what I truly enjoyed.

My professional journey has been one of learning, discovering my strengths, taking on new challenges and growing through experience.

From starting my career in sales to becoming an Executive Director at a training institute, and eventually setting up Think Wise Minds, each stage has taught me something valuable about business, people and leadership.

Looking back, I realise that the most meaningful part of my journey has been the opportunity to guide people, help businesses grow and find solutions to challenges.

Discovering my strengths

When I completed my postgraduate studies, I initially explored a career in computer programming. It was an exciting field with promising opportunities at the time, and I even began working in that area.

However, I soon realised that it wasn’t where my interests truly lay.

I started paying attention to what I enjoyed doing naturally. I found myself observing sales teams, thinking about how products could be presented to customers and imagining how I would approach a sales conversation.

I also recognised that I enjoyed communicating with people and guiding them.

That realisation encouraged me to explore a career in sales — a decision that would shape the direction of my professional life.

Finding my calling in Sales

I joined a software training company in a sales role, and that was where my career really took off.

I discovered that I enjoyed understanding customer needs, communicating value and helping people make decisions. I was successful in sales and developed a strong foundation in customer engagement, business development and relationship building.

This experience taught me that successful sales is not simply about selling a product or service. It is about understanding people, identifying their needs and communicating the right value.

The lessons I learned during this period continue to influence how I approach business and sales development today.

Growing into Management and Leadership

After building my experience in sales, I moved into a managerial role with another organisation that was facing business performance challenges.

I knew I had the ability to contribute, but I also understood that succeeding in a larger management role would require me to learn, develop new skills and put those skills into practice.

I took that challenge seriously.

Over time, I became involved in several aspects of business functioning, including sales, marketing, operations, administration, people management and staff development.

It was a valuable period of learning and implementation. I experienced first-hand how business performance depends not only on strategies and processes, but also on people, teamwork and effective leadership.

The organisation progressed, and my responsibilities grew along with it.

Becoming an Executive Director

My professional journey eventually led me to the position of Executive Director at a well-known training institute in Mumbai.

I spent many successful years in this organisation, gaining experience in managing and developing different aspects of a business.

My responsibilities and experience covered overall operations, business development, sales, administration, people management and training.

This phase strengthened my understanding of what it takes to run a business, develop teams, establish effective processes and work towards organisational goals.

It also reinforced something I had increasingly come to value: helping people develop their capabilities is essential to building successful organisations.

A new chapter — Think Wise Minds

After many years in leadership positions, I decided to take my experience and expertise in a new direction.

I wanted to continue doing what I had always enjoyed — supporting, guiding and helping individuals and businesses find solutions and achieve their goals.

That decision led to the creation of Think Wise Minds.
